Can a High School Student still learn?

Hey all,
Last night I had the weirdest arguement over a dumb issue about preserving the Navajo culture and tradition. my friend says its too late to even teach a High School student about the importance of the Navajo Tradition. I on the other hand dis-agree, why? It might sound crazy, but a teen still has that knowledge in their head to make a change. He says that it would be better if we teach the younger generation about the tradition, come on! The kids need their fun, Heh! Well I think that it should be taught to the older teens and not the elementry students!
